Gayla Bauer Blaisdell recently made her Ravinia Festival debut as soprano soloist in Beethoven's Choral Fantasy. She performed Beethoven's Ninth symphony with the American Composers Orchestra and has premiered new works at the Society of Composers Convention in New York City and performed the New York premiere of a composition by John Baboukis in Merkin Hall. She has recorded a cycle of songs by Elizabeth Bell with the North/South Consonance Ensemble.

She has performed with the Dorian Opera Theater, the State Repertory Opera in New Jersey and has attended Tanglewood, Opera North and the International Institute of Vocal Arts in Italy.
